Glossary

Product and platform terms, in one place. Each entry links to where it’s explained in more depth.

Business DNA Score — see Competency DNA. The computed score produced by evaluating a submission against your organization’s own Competency DNA rubric. Shown alongside the Yareta DNA Score as a separate column in the Reporting / Insights Engine.

Competency DNA — your organization’s own custom scoring rubric (a set of 0–5 scored questions), configured under Organization Settings → Profile. This is your model, distinct from the platform-wide Yareta DNA model. See the User Guide.

Confidence Level (Yareta DNA Confidence Level) — Low / Medium / High, computed for a given founder from their existing DNA Signals. Used, among other things, to gate whether the faster “Document Review” option is available when requesting a psychologist.

Credit — the unit AI-driven actions are billed in (scoring, report generation, psychologist-review requests and their add-ons). Organizations have a monthly credit allowance plus an optional purchased top-up balance. See Billing and Usage.

Deal Flow Automation / Initial Filtering — non-negotiable criteria (funding stage, sector, geography, and custom criteria) checked before a submission is scored against the rest of your profile. Configured under Organization Settings → Profile → Initial Filter.

Developer API Key — an org-issued credential (/[slug]/developer) for headless access to the versioned REST API (/api/v1). Not interchangeable with a Zapier API key or a webhook signing secret — see the Admin Guide §8.

DNA Score — a single AI-generated judgment comparing a submission against your organization’s success-profile template. An LLM output, not a statistical model — treat it as one input, not a final verdict. See the Support / FAQ.

DNA Signals (Founder DNA Signals) — an AI read of a founder’s behavioral signals, generated from the materials supplied with a submission (pitch decks, transcripts, and similar).

Founder DNA Report / DNA Team Report — the investor-facing report that combines psychometric scores across a whole founding team into a synthesis narrative and radar chart. Requires at least two team members to have completed the psychometric assessment. See Team-Level Reports.

HDS (Hogan Development Survey) — one of the five independent pipelines tracked as part of an MDD request.

MDD (Management Due Diligence) — a full due-diligence workup on a submission, tracking five pipelines per founder (call transcript, psychometric assessment, psychologist notes, HDS assessment, other supporting data) and exportable as PDF or DOCX once complete.

Psychometric Assessment — a separate, non-AI, statistically validated questionnaire a founder completes directly, scored against benchmark cohorts. Distinct from — and not interchangeable with — the AI-generated DNA Score. See the Support / FAQ.

Submission — a single deal/company entry in Yareta, with attached founders, resources, and (once processing runs) AI-generated and psychometric results.

Success Profile Template / Investment Profile — the configured combination of Competency DNA rubric, Initial Filtering criteria, and (read-only) Yareta DNA reference model that scoring is evaluated against. An organization can maintain more than one, switchable from a dropdown. See Configuring Your Investment / Success Profile.

Traffic Light — an AI-generated Green / Yellow / Red verdict evaluating a submission against your organization’s investment criteria. A single AI call, not a rule engine — a fast triage signal, not a final decision.

Webhook (outbound) — an endpoint you register to receive real-time event notifications from Yareta, signed with HMAC-SHA256 and a secret shown once at creation. Configured under Organization Settings → Developers → Webhooks. Not the same as a Zapier API key or a Developer API key. See the User Guide.

Yareta DNA — Yareta’s fixed, platform-wide scoring model: 25 traits across 6 core domains, shown as a read-only reference table under Organization Settings → Profile. Distinct from your organization’s own Competency DNA rubric.

Yareta DNA Score — the computed score produced by evaluating a submission against the fixed Yareta DNA model, shown alongside the Business DNA Score in the Reporting / Insights Engine.

Zapier API Key — a named key generated under Organization Settings → Developers → Zapier, used specifically to authenticate Yareta’s Zapier integration. Shown once at creation. Not interchangeable with a Developer API Key or a webhook secret.
